The Oetztaler Alps with the second highest mountain of
Austria, the Wildspitze (3.768 m), are the biggest part of
the East Alps, with nearly 2.500 square kilometres, 10% of
those are glacieral.

fever, you won´t want to miss an ascent to the Wildspitze
- at 3.768 metres the highest mountain of Tirol. Many hiking
areas in higher altitudes are also served by chairlifts, making
them suitable for shorter and easier tours as well. Good equiment
an maps, available throughout the Oetztal, should naturally
accompany you.
